Brat Glas bronnta ar Ghaelscoil Philib Barún|Gaelscoil Philib Barún awarded Green Flag
Ag searmanas i gCorcaigh í Meitheamh 2009 (sa Lifetime Lab), bhronn an tAire John Gormley, Aire Comhshaoil, brat glas ar Choiste glas na scoile. I láthair thar cheann na scoile bhí Paddy Ó Daltún agus Cuirtné Ní Chonchubhair (daltaí scoile), Michael Ó Cruadhlaoi (tuismitheoir) agus Caitríona Ní Chuirrín (oide ranga le freagracht as cúrsai timpeallachta).
At a ceremony in Cork in June 2009 (at the Lifetime Lab), Minister for the Environment, John Gormley presented Gaelscoil Philib Barún with its first green flag. There to receive it on behalf of the school was Paddy Dalton, Courtney O’Connor (school pupils), Micheal Crowley (parent) and Caitriona Ní Chuirrín (teacher with responsibility for environmental awareness in the school).

We congratulate them and their committee on the great work they have undertaken in reduced the amount of litter being generated by the school.

We will officially raise the green flag over the school at the beginning of the new school year in September 2009.
