Internet Safety Talk

As part of our commitment to provide free guest speaker event each January, the Parent’s Association are pleased to announce that a talk on Internet Safety and Cyber Bullying will take place as follows:

• When: Wednesday, 23 January 2013 at 7pm
• Where: Gaelscoil Philib Barún
• Presenter: John Murray (Education Consultant)
• Duration: The session will comprise a 50-minute presentation followed by an informal Q&A session
• Who Can Attend: Parents of pupils at Gaelscoil Philib Barún only (due to limited capacity)

The talk will be presented by Education Consultant, John Murray, who has 26 years experience teaching in both primary and post-primary sectors. John was also the ICT Advisor for Waterford Teachers’ Centre for 8 years. You can read his blog at http://internetsafetyconsultancy.blogspot.ie.

The presentation will commence at 7pm, will last for around 50 minutes and will be followed by an informal Q&A session (with refreshments) where parents are invited to ask questions in private if desired.
