An Brat Glas le hArdú|Raising the Green Flag

Tiocfaidh an tAire Máirtín Ó Cuilinn go Gaelscoil Philib Barún leis an mBrat glas a ardú ag 11.30 ar an 5ú lá Márta 2010. Tá failte roimh tuismitheoirí ata ar fáil le freastal ar an searmanas i gclós na scoile le cead na haimsire.

Minister Martin Cullen, TD, will come to Gaelscoil Philib Barún on Friday the 5th of March 2010 at 11.30 a.m. to raise our Green Flag. Parents are invited to attend the ceremony which will be held in the school yard, weather permitting.

Bhronn an t-Aire Seán Ó Gormfhlaith brat glas ar an scoil an bhliain seo caite in aithinteas ar dhea-obair an choiste glas, idir daltaí agus tuismitheoirí, ag laghdú dramhaíl sa scoil. Cuireadh an searmanas siar go dtí go raibh obair tógala sa scoil críochnaithe agus na seomraí nua réamhdhéanta críochnaithe. Is ábhar mór mórtais dúinn an brat seo a ardú.

Last year the Green School Committee was awarded a green flag by Minister for the Environment John Gormley TD in recognition of efforts to reduce waste and to recycle more. We have put off holding the ceremony until building work on the new prefabs was complete and we are fortunate to have Minister Cullen available to join in the school’s celebrations.
