Picnic ag ‘Comhluadar’ i bhFionnabhair|Fenor Picnic

Picnic do theaghlaigh le Gaeilge 27ú lá Bealtaine ar Fhaiche Imeartha Fhionnabhair 3 i.n. Tóg do phicnic leat. Tar agus úsaid do chúpla focal le do chlann. A ‘Picnic’ organised by ‘Comhluadar” will take place in Fenor play park next Sunday the 27th at 3pm. Comhluadar is an organisation of people who speak Irish to their children.

1,171 Thank Yous

On behalf of the Parent Association of Gaelscoil Philib Barún, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to write a letter to the Minister for Education to highlight the current situation we find ourselves in. In total, we managed to procure a staggering 1,171 letters and these are now on their way to the Minister’s office. Save Our National Schools Campaign

The Parent’s Association have been contacted by a number of concerned parents representing other national schools from Co. Waterford to ask for our support with the nationwide Save Our National Schools (SONS) campaign. This campaign aims to voice their opposition to several educational cutbacks that will affect the future of 10 schools in our county. In particular, the support of other concerned has been requested at a public meeting to be held at the Civic Offices in Dungarvan on Monday,

On behalf of all parents from the school, the Parent’s Association would like to extend their profound gratitude and thanks to the teachers and staff of Gaelscoil Philib Barún for their efforts in preparing the School Concerts this year. Despite the lack of proper facilities for formal dress rehearsals they still managed to prepare the children and put on a terrific show. Well done again and thank you!
